Sharon Van Etten has to be one of the most enthralling artists of her genre anywhere in the world. It's hard to gauge her popularity. I've seen her play to a capacity crowd at Stubbs in Austin (and that's a big venue, she was headlining over Fiona Apple) and I've seen her play to a club crowd in Sheffield. Tonight's venue in Manchester Cathedral was perfect.
